Koufonissi - Kalimera beach

From Fano beach is a few hundred meters to Platia Punta beach, on the way you pass two small beaches, the closest to Platia Punta is my personal favourite beach on Koufonissi. It is very small; if you blink your eyes you will miss it. I do not really know why I stuck to this little midget beach, probably for the underlying rocks where you can lie down and read books without worrying about flying sand, and because that the water feels clearer, and the bottom is softer, and the water surrounding the rocks is wonderful to explore with snorkels and masks. The beach had no name before, but I solved it many years ago when I was solemnly named the beach to Kalimera beach. Back »
